The Kokoda Track crosses the Owen Stanley Range between Owers' Corner, an hour above Port Moresby, and Kokoda station on the northern side. It follows the line of the 1942 campaign through steep rainforest ridges, river crossings and the villages that supplied both armies, and is walked with a licensed operator, local guides and carriers.
Start at Owers' Corner by road from Port Moresby, or fly Port Moresby to Popondetta and drive to Kokoda to walk it northbound to southbound.
